I know what you are thinking! Why hasn’t my little, furry darling written to me? Where is my handsome Caballero?? I am sooo sorry mis queridos (my darlings) but your corazon Cowboy has been in a careening car for several weeks! It’s impossible to write when you never stop moving!! My mama and I drove all the way to Iowa to visit Jody Strand and his beautiful Arabian horses, many of them Cowboys! Just like me! We worked very hard there and then quickly packed and went on to Longmont, Colorado to see our good friend Diane Underwood and her many very good Arabian horse friends and their loved ones at Glenmoor Farm. There I spoke privately with Oscar and Ellie and my young friend Alexa. I had to talk and snuggle with many horses and many young ladies. Also, I got a chance to be with my beloved abuela (grandma). I am (of course) her very most favorito grand dog. Please do not tell my cousins! But naturally, it is true!
Then Mama and I dashed for home, it was a 2,000 mile round trip!! We took one big breath, slept in our warm beds and then worked feverishly in Wisconsin and Illinois around the clock on horses preparing for the Hagyard MidSouth 3-day Event and Team Challenge at the Horse Park in Lexington this coming weekend. Mis amigos Sisco and Clare Vanderwoude from TeamV Eventing are there this very minute. My heart is broken I cannot be with them, but I think of them all the time and send my love and cheers.
It was nice to be home, but I barely had time to unpack my tiny blanket, travel bed and dishes when we were back in our little car and headed south another 735 miles to Tulsa, Oklahoma for the Arabian National Show. Sometimes, I have to go up and see my Mama in the front seat of the car and put my paws on her lap and say, “Mama, where are we??” And she will say that we are on our way to see jumping or trotting horses or sometimes even cows! She says we are in Missouri or Indiana. It sounds very exciting but my eyes close and I sleep with my head and paws on her lap. I hope that she brought my motor cycle to the show. It’s important to look important when you are tiny. I will write more very, very soon now that we are in the “homa of the Okla!”
